Location – S.A.S Nagar , Mohali, Punjab, India
Very near to the bus stand.thus comfortable to
The patients coming from out of city.
The linear proportion of the site 3:1 have brought out the
Linear plan of the hospital building , the two entrances being
on the longer side

ORIENTATION
-- The building faces north east, the most favourable
orientation
-- care has been taken to place the curved surface of the
building out to that direction to get the maximum exposure
To glare free light.

Building divided into five zones
1.Public area
2.Rehabitation building
3.Main hospital with visitor
& patients
4. Services and basement parking
5. Landscaping
Using the element of beauty & the same time to rejuvenate
the spirit of the patients.
And the used of stepped landscaped courtyard.

The main hospital building has been divided into 4 blocks
BLOCK A
Emergency area with separate gate and entrance.
BLOCK B
Administration with traffic restricted to patients admitted &
Their visitors
BLOCK C
Diagnostics labs
BLOCK D
OPD & Rehabitation Centre.
HORIZONTAL CIRCULATION
-Main spinal cord of the hospital 2.45 m wide.
-another 2.45m wide singly loaded corridor runs throughout

Divided into 3 components staircase , lift, ramp

It has main kitchen , a pharmacy department ,medical record
room, laundry, stores, EDP,UPS room

It basically consists of staff room with toilets , 2 lifts, lobbies

BLOCK A AND B GROUND FLOOR
Block A
It’s a emergency area
It has its own reception, toilets, x- ray, stored room
Block B
It has the inpatient department with the necessary facilities
The block consist of various facilities like a cafeteria , book
store, bank & prayer room.
BLOCK C AND D GROUND FLOOR
Block C
It consists of the kitchen area, labs and diagnostics.
And the radiology department like x ray, MRI ultrasound
,CT scan ,etc.
Block D
It consists of the main OPD area with rehabitation Centre
It has its own reception
Its also has the hydro , wax and physiotherapy areas.
HVAC UNIT
-The whole building is centrally
air conditioned with toilets have ventilators.
-water cooled chiller has been used.
FIRE FIGHTING
Sprinkles have been provided@ approx. 3000mm
Depending upon equal distribution of width of hall.
Two types of detector have been used
1.Smoke and heat sensor
Fire exit routes with automatic opening type doors

SEWERAGE
All toilets have shafts adjoining to carry waste

DRAINAGE
For basement ,sump wells have been provided

It is located behind kitchen in the basement right
In front of staff parking entrance.
STRUCTURAL DETAILS
Raft footing has been provided
To reduce the sound level inside the hospital
AAC ( autoclaved aerated concrete blocks) have
Been used.
Acoustic false ceiling tiles and double glass for
Windows has been used.
