What is Blue Eyes Technology:
• Aims at creating computational machines
that have sensory abilities like those of
human beings.
• Use camera and microphone to identify
user actions and emotions.
Why Blue Eyes ?

•To avoid and reduce Human limitation such as:

•Tiredness
•Oversight
•Mental illness
• Monitoring of conscious brain involvement (automation, long driving)
•To built a machine that can understand your emotions
•Verify your identity, feels your presence and interact with you.
What is Blue Eyes ?

•BLUE : in the term stands for Bluetooth, which enables reliable wireless
communication .

•EYES : because the eye movement enables us to obtain a lot of interesting

and important information.

•Bluetooth device + Eyes tracking Device.

How can we make computers “see” and “feel” ?
•Blue eyes uses sensing technology to identify a user’s
actions and to extract key information.

•Information is then analyzed to determine the user’s

physical, emotional, or informational state.
Technologies Used

•Emotion Mouse
•Manual And Gaze Input Cascaded
(MAGIC)
•Artificial Intelligent Speech Recognition
•Simple User InterestTracker (SUITOR)
•The eye movement Sensor
Emotion Mouse :

•Emotion mouse sense the mood by

analyzing pressure , temperature and
heart beat of the user.

•Analyzing these parameters six types of

mood can be sensed by computer.
How it works ?

•Like humans have five sense

organs, emotion mouse is designed
with five sensors to sense the
different moods of user.
MAGIC-Manual And Gage Input
Cascaded
•Webcam is used to quickly
determine the glints and pupils of
the user under variable and
realistic lightning conditions.
MAGIC POINTING :
• Magic pointing take input from both manual input device and eye
tracking device.
• There are two types of magic pointing techniques:
1) Liberal 2) conservative

SUITOR-Simple User Interest Tracker
•Help by fetching more information at
desktop
•Notice where the user’s eyes focus on
the screen
•Fills a scrolling ticker on a computer
screen with information related to user’s
task
•Ex. If reading headline ,pops up the
story in the browser window.
Artificial Intelligent Speech Recognition

•Input words are scanned and matched against internally stored words.
•User speaks to the computer through microphone.
•Pattern matching is designed to look for the best fit because of variations
in loudness, pitch, frequency difference, time gap etc.
The Eye Movement Sensor Design

•A personal area network for linking all the operators and the supervising
system.
•Two major units :
DAU (Data Acquisition Unit )
CSU (Central System Unit )
Data Acquisition Unit

Features :
•Lightweight
•Runs on batteries - low power
consumption
•Easy to use
•ID cards for operator authorization
Central System Unit

Components :
•CONNECTION MANAGER – main task to perform low-level blue tooth
communication
•DATA ANALYSIS MODULE – performs the analysis of the raw sensor data in
order to obtain information about operator’s physiological condition .
•DATA LOGGER MODULE – provides support for storing the monitored data.
•VISULAIZATION MODULE – provides user interface for the supervisors
Central System Unit

Features:
1.Maintains Bluetooth connections
2.Data processing
3.Records conclusion for further
exploration
4.Provides visualization interface
Advantages:

•Physiological condition monitoring

•Reduces manual work
•Increases efficiency.
Disadvantages:

•Not 100% accurate.

•System is bulky, needs minimization.
•Expensive
Future Applications

• In automobile industry
• In video games
• To create “Face Responsive Display”
•Power station
•Flight control centers and many more…
Conclusion

•In the future, ordinary household devices such as televisions, refrigerators, and ovens may
be able to do their jobs when we look at them and speak to them.

•Provide more delicate and user friendly facilities in computing devices.

•Gap between the electronic and physical world is reduced

•The computers can be run using implicit commands instead of the explicit commands
