WEAKNESSES
1. The amount spend on marketing is negligible when compared to the turnover.
2. There is no differentiation and specialization.
3. The credit limit[60-90 days] is more than the average limit[30-60 days]
which exists in the market.
4. Since most of our customers exists outside Hyderabad it becomes difficult for
us to collect the credit amount from them.
5. Difficulty in maintaining the inventory of the goods.
OPPORTUNITIES
1.As there is a large market available in the textile industry there are more ways of expanding the
business.
2.The goodwill of our family business is very high providing a bigger customer market for a new
product.
3.We have a monopoly in specific designs of indo westerns because of which we can create a shortage
of supply and increase the rates.
4.As any average Indian family spends high amount on their marriages,there is a scope of introducing
expensive sherwanis,indo westerns upto INR 6,000[wholesale price] in the market.
5.With the help of goodwill I can easily get capital requirements for launching my own brand.
6.Changes in credit system can help in reducing the bad debts like mandating a credit customer to
deposit a blank cheque in our firm.
7.VOCAL FOR LOCAL can also help the firm in the expansion process.
8.Conversion of many south indians to Christianity provides a large market for suits,blazers.
THREATS
1. The entry of new players in the market is increasing every fiscal.
2. Small or new firms can expand their business because the banks and financial
institutins are reducing the red tape in taking loans.
3. As most of our customers are from villages,towns its very difficult to keep up with their
religious and social sentiments.the mentalities,religious emotions of rural people is very
much different from that of urban people.
4. The influence of western culture on the Indians can be a threat as people will be more
encouraged to do court marriages,reducing the amount spend on marriages and thus
reducing the demand of expensive sherwanis.
5. The UP government is planning to introduce labour laws.This can increase the
production costs for manufacturers and thus effecting us.
6. The reforms in the GST laws like compulsion of EWAY bill can cause a technical
problem and may increase the fixed costs.
