Apgar Scoring was develop by DR.
Virginia Apgar
A method of assessing the newborn’s
status adjustment to extra uterine life.
It is taken at one minute and 5 minutes
ater birth
The one minute score indicates
necessity for RESUCITATION
The 5 minutes score is more reliable in
predicting mortality and neurologic
disorder
