CRITERIA FOR A GOOD

PRESENTATION
INTRODUCTION
 A presentation is the process of
presenting a topic to an audience. It is typically a
demonstration, introduction, lecture or speech meant to
inform, persuade, inspire, motivate, or to build good will or
to present a new idea or product.
 Good presentations are memorable.
They contains graphics, images, and facts in such a way that
they’re easy to remember. A week later, your audience can
remember much of what you said. Great presentations are
motivating.

 Use standard position, colour and styles.
 Only use necessary or essential information.
 Content should be understandable to anyone who reads it (you
shouldn’t have to explain it to them).
 Use colours that are contrasting but not jarring or distracting.
 Too many slides will lose your audience.
 Generally no more than 6 words a line.
 Emphasis important information with a large font.
 Keep font size at between 16 to 48.
 Fancy fonts can be hard to read.
 No long sentences.
 Generally no more than two images per slide.
