INTRODUCTION

 The E-Ball concept PC is a sphere

shaped computer which is the
smallest design among all the laptops
and desktops
 It has all the features of traditional
computer like keyboard ,mouse ,DVD
etc.

3
Size of E-ball

▪ E-ball is very small, it is

having only 6 inch
diameter sphere
▪ It is having 120x120mm
mother board
▪ 160mm round sphere
▪ Smallest PC ever made

4
How to start the E-ball

▪ E-ball is to put it into

standing position.
▪ The on/off button shown in
figure on the top of the E-
ball must be pressed to
turn on the PC.
▪ After this the focus,
direction can be adjusted
using the navigation
buttons.
5
Elements of E-ball
▪ It has around 350-600 GB of Hard Disk
Drive
▪ It contains mouse ,keyword and LCD
▪ It contains 5GB RAM
▪ It has two 50W speakers
▪ It has LAN and WLAN cards and a Web
cam
▪ Dual core processor
▪ Integrated graphics and sound card
▪ LCD projectors Paper holder 6

7
Working of E-ball

▪ Keyboard : Infrared rays and laser

▪ Mouse : RF receiver & RF transmitter
▪ LCD projector
▪ The computer screen is focused on the
wall with the help of navigation key

8
If there is no wall?

▪ If we are working in an open

place we can make use of
paper sheet as a screen
▪ Paper sheet holder is placed
at the back panel of this
computer
▪ The holder can be opened by
pressing it in the lower part

9
Essential parts of E-ball

Virtual keyboard
Reasons to use virtual keyboard
 The sensor module
 IR-light source
 The pattern projector

Mouse
Projectors
 LCD projectors
 DLP projectors

10
Reasons to use Virtual keyboard

▪ It takes up less desk space

than a conventional keyboard
▪ It is convenient to carry
around
▪ You could use it with your
desktop, laptop or handheld
computer
▪ Virtual keywords basically
consists of three components
11
The Sensor Module

▪ The sensor module serves

as the eyes of the Keyboard
Perception technology.
▪ The Sensor Module operates
by locating the user's fingers
in 3-D space and tracking the
intended keystrokes.

12
IR(Infrared light)Light Source

▪ The Infrared Light Source emits

a beam of infrared light.
▪ This light beam is designed to
overlap the area on which the
keyboard pattern projects.
▪ This is done so as to illuminate
the users fingers.

13
The Pattern Projector

▪ The Pattern Projector basically

presents the image of the
keyboard.
▪ This image can be projected on
any flat surface.
▪ The projected image is that of a
standard qwerty-keyboard, with all
the keys and control functions as
in the keyboard. PROJECTOR

14
Mouse

▪ After opening the stand and turning

ON the PC, pressing the detaching
mouse button will allow you to
detach the optical mouse from the
PC body.
▪ Mouse is present in the E-ball it
self.

15
Projector

▪ E-ball Technology basically use a LCD projector to

Project an image on screen or flat surface.
▪ In LCD projector video signal are comprised of three
colors: red, green, blue.
▪ Generally there are two types of projector used:-
▪ LCD Projector
▪ DLP Projector

16
LCD Projector

▪ LCD :- Liquid-Crystal Display

▪ An LCD projector allows the
source light to pass through
the three colored liquid
crystal display light panels.
▪ Commonly used in business
meeting ,seminars.

17
Benefit of LCD Projector

▪ It has low-priced.
▪ It can also provide greater brightness with lower
energy consumption.
▪ This projectors do not suffer from rainbow effects.
▪ It provides greater zoom magnification.

18
Drawback of LCD Projector

▪ They heat up more quickly than DLP projectors.

▪ The life time of LCD panel is limited.
▪ They do not have high contrast.

19
DLP Projectors

▪ DLP :- Digital Light

Processing
▪ DLP technology uses
micro-mirrors to project
images from a monitor
onto a large screen.

20
Benefit of DLP Projector

▪ DLP projectors require less maintenance than LCD

projectors
▪ They are not subject to the misalignments that can occur in
LCD projectors.

21
Drawback of DLP Projector

▪ It provide less zoom magnification so, it is best suited

for small environment.
▪ Its Price is high as compared to LCD Projector.

22
Advantages

▪ It is portable.
▪ E-Ball has large memory.
▪ Useful for making video presentations.
▪ These have greater speed.
▪ Supports user-defined keyboard layouts
▪ It is efficient.
▪ It is very easy to use
▪ It is more secure than other computer.
23
Disadvantages

▪ Normal OS cant work in these computers.

▪ Cost of E-Ball is very high.
▪ It is difficult to understand if any problems occur in
hardware components.

24
Conclusion

▪ As years passes, the computer size is becoming

smaller. Todays technology is at its peak point beyond
what we could ever imagine. New inventions and
innovations are emerging on daily basis. Our
imaginations have dressed into reality and today it has
become possible to have a whole computer in our
pocket all the time.
