Course Description
This 3-unit course provides an overview of the
entrepreneurial process that will teach the learners
identify, assess, shape, and act on opportunities in a variety Credit Units: 3
of contexts, settings and organizations. It will focus on the
entrepreneurial thinking that may be applied to Pre-requisite:
opportunities of all kinds including new ventures as well as None
innovation within existing organizations, in both for profit
and not for profit sectors. The fundamental concepts and
analytical tools in entrepreneurship will be explained and
how these concepts and tools may be applied to real world
business situations and opportunities.
Course Learning Outcomes
1. Apply the fundamental aspects of entrepreneurial thinking
in the field of nursing and as means of personal and
economic development. (Christ-centered)
2. Assess new opportunities that forms the critical step in
moving an idea from concept to launch and
implementation. (Conscience)
3. Apply the concepts and analytical tools that serve as the
foundation of opportunity assessment and entrepreneurial
development. (Competence)
