EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER
In hotels

An executive housekeeper, co-ordinates between


housekeeping crews to inspect assigned areas to
ensure standards are met. An executive housekeeper
manages many priorities and demands and is able to
solve problems, support staff, as well as perform the
duties of a housekeeper when required. The
Executive Housekeeper's overall responsibility is for
the cleanliness, maintenance and guest service in all
guest suites as well as the cleanliness of public areas
and crew areas.

according to the industry he or she is

RESPONSIBILITIES OF EXECUTIVE
HOUSEKEEPER
 Establish and/or implement operating procedures and standards

 Plan and coordinate the activities of housekeeping supervisors and their


crew

 Coordinate inspection or inspect assigned areas to ensure standards are


met

 Apply human resource management skills, such as hiring, training,


scheduling and evaluating performance

 Complete financial management tasks, such as setting and adhering to a


budget

 Handle administrative tasks

DUTIES OF EXECUTIVE
HOUSEKEEPER
 Organize, supervise and coordinate the work of
housekeeping staff on day- to day basis.

 Ensure excellence in housekeeping sanitation, safety,


comfort and aesthetics for hotel guests.

 Prepare duty rosters and supervise the discipline and


conduct of her staff.

 Ensure proper communication within the department


by conducting regular meeting with the staff.

 Recruit new employees and train them for the


housekeeping jobs.

 Counsel and motivate employees on various duties.

 Maintain regular inventory and checking of
furniture, linen, uniform, equipments in the hotel.

 Evaluate employee performance for promotions and


transfers.

 Approval of supply requisitions for the


housekeeping and to maintain minimum stock and
cost control procedures for all materials.

 Check the reports, files, registers maintained in the


department.

 Provide budget to the management and control of


budgets
