 E-commerce makes it possible for people to opened the doors of their

very own virtual stores .
 Selling online makes it easier for small, specialized , and big brand
outlets to reach outside audience . And just like traditional business e-
commerce has it’s advantages and disadvantages .
 Advantages of COVID 19 :-
Hospitality/healthcare sector:-
 In the pandemic apart from large no of deaths , there is growth seen in health care business like masks , hand
sanitizer , detol , ventilator etc.., the companies who are manufacturing these king of things had earned a
huge profit during the COVID 19 pandemic , and it was an advantage for e-commerce sites to provide such
products and services
E-commerce sites:-
 In this pandemic when people are unable to go outside their home due to lockdowns and shutdowns ,
they suffered in getting their day today things , that are essential for daily life , and in this type of
situation E-commerce site platforms like AMAZON , FLIPKART,ZAMATO had registered a tremendous
growth in their business..
 Overall in retail websites generated almost 22 billion visits in June 2020, upto 16.07 billion global visits
in January 2020.

Telecom sector :-
 Due to the lockdowns and shutdowns all are stock inside their house and to get rid from getting
bored , the huge no of growth in internet users was seen .
 And the telecom sectors like JIO, AIRTEL , VODAPHONE ware giving exciting offers and also registered
a huge amount of turnover.
OTT platforms :-

 Ott platforms also registered the growth of subscriptions by 60% ,as everyone stocked inside their home to
spend time they use the OTT platform as their medium of entertainment like AMAZON PRIME , NETFLIX,
TELEGEAM , HOTSTAR VIP , etc…

Online educational platforms:-

 COVID 19 pandemic has affected the educational system a lot , due to restrictions the students are unable
to go outside for their classes and also, schools and colleges ware closed , so the online educational
platforms like ZOOM , GOOGLE MEET , CISCO WEBEX, etc.. ware helped the students not all over INDIA
but all across the world to provide the classes to the students through virtual medium ,
 Not only the classes ware conducted by virtual medium , but also the meetings by big companies ,
interviews and etc.. Ware also conducted by online platforms .
 Disadvantages of COVID 19 pandemic:-
Big Hotels and resturants :-

 Due to lockdowns and shutdowns and government restrictions the people ware advised to not to come
outside and due to this the hotel and resturant sector faced a huge amount of loss due to people .

The business sectors like oil, gas ,mining, manufacturing plants :-

 There ware lack of employees and labours in covid 19 pandemic due to the restrictions made by
governments .
 And due to lack of employees the business sectors like manufacturing industry , mining industry , oil
and gas who ware unable to run their organizations in the absent of ground level workers , suffered a
huge amount of loss.
