 To update Relay settings for Solar plants and to verify Relay co-ordination.

• Assignment Details:
 Analysis of L-G fault in ungrounded solar plant.

• What did you learn from this Assignment:


 By sensing leakage current of cables, we can provide protection for L-G fault in ungrounded
solar plant.

• Where did you Use the learning:


 This is the case study of the Shivapuri solar plant where we are unable to achieve protection for
L-G fault with the existing system . Solution for this problem is provided by this study.

• What was the impact of Learning:


 This study provides solution in case where we failed to achieve L-G fault protection by using
neutral voltage displacement relay due to the low impedance offered by NVDR will draw huge
leakage current which is out of range of Anti-PID so we use leakage current method . This
method will be useful for IRESP project.

 I have written a research paper on analysis and detection of L-G fault in ungrounded solar plant.
 Updating Relay settings for Solar plants and Relay co-ordination by using ETAP.

• What did you learn from this Assignment:


 How to calculate overcurrent relay settings
 Checking of relay co-ordination by using ETAP software.

• Where did you Use the learning:


 Updating settings for Peddalingapur, Pennar kowdipally ,Raychoti plants etc. and Time co-
ordination curves of this plants verified by using ETAP software

• What was the impact of Learning:


 To verify and modify relay settings of existing plants for better co-ordination and ETAP software
tool application.
