SUMMARY
The term ‘drama’ comes from a Greek Word meaning ‘action’ which is
derived from ‘I do’. Drama was introduced to England from Europe by the
Romans, and auditoriums were constructed across the country for this purpose. In
film and television, drama is a category of narrative fiction (or semi-fiction)
intended to be more serious than humorous in tone. In the present time, drama has
many types than before like teen drama, horror drama, fantasy drama,
dramatically drama, thriller drama, and many more. We can see here that drama
has developed from the old time with more complex story, graphic, background
music, CG, etc. The key difference between modern drama and classic drama is
that modern drama refers to a printed text of a play while classic drama refers to
the onstage production of the play. Another difference between these two terms is
the interpretation of the play.
