 A Movie about Friendship
On this opportunity, I would like to share about a great movie that I
have ever watched. I watched this movie about seven years ago. The story
of the movie was really make me felt amaze.
One evening on December 2012, my best friend, Yunik picked me up
by motor and we went to one of cinema on Denpasar. Honeslty, I did not
know what movie we will watch. When we arrived at the cinema, Yunik
brought me to the ticket counter and luckily she has booked two tickets for
us so we did not need to queue up. Before we enter the theatre, we did not
forget to buy popcorn and beverage. We entered the theatre and we went to
the chair, then I checked the title of the movie that we would watch, its
title was “5 cm”. First of all, I felt very curious about the movie. We
watched the movie for about 2 hours.
 Now, I am going to tell the whole story of the movie. 5 cm is
Indonesian movie. This movie is based on a novel by Donny
Dirgantoro entitled 5cm. It talks about there are five teens who have
been making friends for ten years. They are Genta, Arial, Zafran,
Riani and Ian. They have different characters. Genta is a man who is
not happy for himself, so he has the soul of the leader and be able to
make other people comfortable around him. Arial likes exercise, he is
awkward acquaintance with women and always brings ketchup every
where he go. Zafran is idealistic and poem lover. Riani is a smart girl,
chatty, and has ambitions of her ideals. Ian is fat, likes to eat noodles,
fans football and most late graduation. There is also Dinda, she is the
younger sister of Arial. One day, they were “saturated” with their
friendship and eventually they decided to break up for three months
without communication between them until Genta gives and
information where they will suppose to meet again and Genta
promised to invite his friends to do something in some place so they
can get unforgettable experience that they ever had.
 During the three months of separation longing, much has happened in
their lives, something that changed them each to be better in life. After
three months later, Genta contacted his friends and made an appointment
to meet in a train station. Four of them did not have any idea about what
will be happen until they arrived in a strange location for them. It was
Semeru Mountain. One week before they meet, Genta asked his friends to
bring some hiking equipments and do small exercise before they go. They
started their adventure and continued the journey to Bromo and then they
started to climb the highest mountain in Java, Mahameru Mountain. Their
journey was not well, they met some problems, Zafran’s leg suddenly
bleeding, they had lack of water in the middle of journey, Arial almost
died because of the worst cold. Arinda and Ian hit some rocks from the
top of the mountain. After they fought with great problems, finally they
could reach the top of Mahameru Mountain. They flagged the Indonesia’s
flag right on August 17.
This movie was so amazing because of the friendship and their
adventure. Their journey was full of struggle that made them more love
Indonesia. They might face any obstacles, because they have dreams.
Dreams are placed 5 cm from the front of the forehead.
