Safety This includes foil and silverware. *Use only microwave safe containers in microwaves. *Be careful using plastic wrap in the microwave, it can emit toxic chemicals. *Don’t cover things completely in the microwave, they can gather pressure and explode. Grease Fires Fire Safety *NEVER use water on a grease fire, it will cause the fire to spread. *Suffocate the fire with a lid or large amount of baking soda. *Never move a pot/pan that is on fire, it can cause it to spread. *As soon as safely possible, turn off the burner. Dry Cooking Fires Fire Safety *Most common, liquid is boiled out and food scorches.
