Introduction
Introduction

CE resources are baseband processing resources in a NodeB. The more CEs a NodeB supports, the
stronger the NodeB's service processing capability.
If the uplink/downlink license- or hardware-based CE usage is consistently greater than 70% during peak
hours for three consecutive days in a week
CE capacity expansion Should be Done as follows:
  If the license-based CE usage exceeds its capacity expansion threshold, CE resources are limited by the
license. In this situation, upgrade the license file.
  If the hardware-based CE usage exceeds the capacity expansion threshold, CE resources are limited by
the hardware capacity. In this situation, add UBBP or WBBP boards.

 CE reshuffling Methodology :
According to the proposal, if the license-based CE usage exceeds its capacity expansion threshold and if CE resources
are limited by the license or if HW Board Capacity is available. In this situation, Add Soft CE license.
In order to add required Soft CE license make sure sufficient CE license on the pool on the RNC.
If there is no sufficient CE license on the pool, reshuffle CE license based on CE Utilization And CE rejection.
Receiver site
 High CE utilization And High CE Rejection .
 CE Utilization >70% which shows high CE utilization.
Donor site
 Low CE utilization and low CE Rejection.
 CE utilization <40% which shows no low CE Utilization.

 CE board reshuffling Methodology :
If the hardware-based CE usage exceeds the capacity expansion threshold, CE resources are limited by the hardware
capacity. In this situation, add CE board.
Donor and receiver sites selection is based on CE resource utilization and Rejection.
Receiver site
 High CE utilization And High CE Rejection
 If the current CE board is fully configured.
 CE Utilization >70% which shows high CE utilization.
Donor site
 Low CE utilization and low CE Rejection.
 CE utilization <40% which shows no low CE Utilization.
 Should have more than 2 CE Boards.
 Carrier configuration of the Donor should be checked, if the carrier configuration is U333 or more the
remaining CE board should support 12 cells or the remaining Board Should be 2 if the boards are
supporting 6 number of cells.
 Donor and receiver should be located on the same region.
