Advertisers/Advertising- How do we
know they will advertise?
• When a new product is being introduced to the company the audience
instantly become aware that they will advertise there main marketing
product. With out advertising the public will be unaware/unsure of what the
new merchandise is clearly about and what it brings to the public.
• The audience have a knowledge for how the media represent their products
and how they may publish it in order to make it successful. They can do this
in many different ways i.e. Adverts, Billboards, magazines, posters etc. This
allows the audience to become familiar with the product which may
influence them into buying the product.
• There is a lot of famous and well advertising companies e.g. Total Media
that can make unknown media products become very popular but, not a lot
of companies are willing to take the risk in inventing in totally unknown
products and items.
Presentation of a Magazine
• Layout – The magazines layout (mainly front
cover) was mostly influenced from the VIBE
magazine as the main font and layout replicated its
style. The main image on the front cover is an
image of me which directly shows me interacting
with props in order to relate to my story. The
background that I have used has imitated the
functions of a real magazine as they mostly use a
plain background to make the main image stand
out.
• Content –
My contents page contains pictures to relate
to the other stories within the magazine. I
have used original pictures and included a
puff in order to engage the audience and get
them interested. The colour scheme is the
same colour to show that the areas of the
magazine containing ‘Me’ would have a
similar theme to each page.
Article- What does it feature?
• The main article is related the main
image including ‘Me’. ‘TRACIE CLAIRE’
has been used a fairly large font in order
to attract the audience and make them
become aware that the main image is
related to the cover line. I have used red
and outlined it in black which gives off a
bold effect. A quote underneath has
been used affectively to emphasise that
she said that in her interview.
• Target Audience – The target audience shall be aimed at young adults. Roughly
aiming at kids 14+.
