Class Presentation (20 marks)
• Class will be divided into 7 groups; allotted
chapters and the date on which the
presentation shall take place
• Duration is 15 mins in class
• Students may make PPTs, but not
necessarily
Write-up (25 marks)
• Opinion based
• On the reading assigned for Class Presentation
• Should be within the range of 700 to 1000 words
(excluding footnotes)
Book review (50 marks)
• Students can discuss the book in groups of 5
(Awaiting 2 groups’ selected biography/ book)
• Must submit individual book reviews; assessed
individually
• Should be within the range of 700 to 1000 words
(excluding footnotes)
• Deadline: 12th December, 2020
Contents of a Book Review:
• Title, author/ editor, publisher or institution of
the book
• Describe the main ideas of the book very
briefly
• Give a critical analysis of the author’s ideas
primarily based on the themes and topics
covered in class.
• Concluding paragraph

Formatting (for Write-up and book review):


- Main text: 12pt. Times New Roman, double
spacing and the text should be justified.
- Footnotes: 10 pt. Times New Roman, single
spacing
Plagiarism will attract severe penalty and in
some cases allocation of Zero marks for the
complete assignment
