The procedure for drawing the isometric circle using the four
—center approximate method.
STEP 1
Draw the isometric square whose sides are equal to the
diameter of the circle.
A
DIAMETER
C B
STEP 2
Connect the corners of the isometric square by constructing two
diagonal lines AD & CB.
C B
STEP 3
Locate the midpoint of the sides and these points are the points of
tangency of the major and minor arcs.
C B
STEP 4
Locate the centers of the major arcs.
The centers of the major arcs are the end points of the shorter diagonal
lines which are points A & D.
C B
STEP 5
Locate the centers of minor arcs.
The centers of minor arcs can be located by connecting the
centers of the major arcs to the midpoint of their opposite sides, the
intersections of these lines are the centers of the minor arcs which
are points E & F.

STEP 6
Draw the major and minor arcs using the located center points.
