What form of government exist in

Bangladesh?
• Politics of Bangladesh takes place in a
framework of a parliamentary representative
democratic republic, whereby the Prime
Minister of Bangladesh is the head of
government, and of a multi-party system. 
Democracy

• Government by the people; a form of


government in which the supreme power is
vested in the people and exercised directly by
them or by their elected agents under a free
electoral system.
Autocracy
• A system of government by one person with
absolute power. A military dictatorship is a
form of government in which the absolute
authority of the dictator lies with the
military. ... Autocracy examples through
military dictatorship in modern history include
such nations as Algeria, Guinea, Argentina,
Peru, Iraq, and Pakistan.
• Autocracy is a form of government in which
absolute control lies in the hands of a single
person, or of a tightly held group of people.
Under autocratic law, the ruler has unlimited
and undisputed power. The most recent forms
of autocracy practiced by some nations
include absolute monarchies and
dictatorships. 
Unitary government
  

• The definition of a unitary government or


unitary state is a system of political
organization with a central supreme
government which holds the authority over
and makes the decisions for subordinate local
governments.
• A form of government in which the powers of
all provincial and local governments are
specified by a single national government.
• A unitary system is different from
a federal system in that a unitary system is
composed of one central government that
holds all the power, while a federal system
divides power between national and local
forms of government. The United States,
Australia, the Federal Republic of Germany.
One central government controls weaker
states. 
The Federal Governing System:

• • Distributes power from the national


government to local/state governments to
adopt laws that are reasonable to the country
as a whole and the localities
• • Larger countries often adopt the federal system since
constituents may live in areas remote to the location of
the central government
• • Ethnicities with in a country may lead to a federal
system as their rules and laws may vary. An example of
this is the small country of Belgium which balances the
needs two distinct ethnic groups
• • The United States has a federal governing system
with a national government and Constitution, in
conjunction with states governments and constitutions
