  Locators :
These are used to locate the work piece at correct
position with respect to tool.

Elements of jig  Clamps :

Clamps are used to: hold the work piece with
respect to jig and fixtures and to hold the jig and
fixtures to the machine table

 Guiding Elements :
The guiding elements are used to locate , position
and guide the cutting tool during operation

 Fasteners :
Fasteners are used to clamp the different parts of
jigs and fixtures together
Locators

• In this jig we use Nesting Locators.

• In this type of location the part is
positioned by enclosing it in a
depression or recess of the same
shape as the part.
• Nesting is the most accurate form
of locating device for profile
location.
Clamps

• In this jig we use Cap Screw for

clamping of guiding bushes.
Jig Plate

Jig plate is use for locating accurate

positions of drills in workpiece.
Guiding Elements

• Whenever we drill any work piece

the drill has a tendency to wobble
before it starts to drill . As a result
the hole produced may not be
exact round ,displaced out of
alignment and not even straight.
• To overcome these problems we
use guiding elements or drill
bushes.
• In this jig we use Press fit Bushes
(Headed Flange Bush).
