THREE FOLD CONCERNS OF THE OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS & SERVICES

1. Student Activities
❑ Extra-curricular and co-curricular in nature.
❑ These are essential components of a student’s life.
They compliment academics and are vital to the
total person development. They serve as spices to
give more color to the students’ life in the campus.
❑ Example includes: Welcome Assembly, Recruitment
Week, University Intramurals, Foundation Days, etc.
2. Student Services and Welfare

The Office of the Student Affairs supervises and
coordinates closely with the various student service
areas and/or departments of the University to ensure an
effective, efficient and smooth delivery of student
services.

Students are encouraged to maximize the use of school
facilities such as the library, internet laboratories and
others for their benefit.

Service Departments includes: Guidance Office, Campus
Ministry, Medical Services, Dental Services, Culture &
Arts Office, and Athletic Office
3. Student Discipline
❑Ensure and create an atmosphere conducive to
learning through the observance of school rules
and regulations
❑Presence of a Student Discipline Board which
takes care of cases or complaints raised against a
student by a fellow student , group of students,
or faculty. The Student Discipline Board adheres
to the principle of “DUE PROCESS” as provided
for in the CU Student Handbook
CODE OF CONDUCT & SCHOOL DISCIPLINE

In this academic community, students are expected

to exercise freedom and maturity in the process of
self – development. This entails the capacity to
discern between acts that promote their well-being
or those that are inimical to it. Violations at CU are
classified either MINOR or MAJOR violations/
offenses.
CODE OF CONDUCT & SCHOOL DISCIPLINE

Minor violations are acts which may not result to

physical injury or damage of property but innately
disruptive in nature. Major offenses, on the other
hand, are acts considered an affront to the dignity of
the CU community, and threats to its internal
security, peace, and order.
