Albina du Boisrouvray's only son, François-
Xavier, was murdered in a tragic helicopter
accident when he was just 24 year old. Albina's
life-changing tragedy inspired her to leave a
lucrative profession as a film producer and
devote her life to championing the cause of the
tens of millions of defenseless women and
children left in the wake of the terrible AIDS
pandemic. Albina handed away the majority of
her possessions in 1989 to establish the FXB

François-Xavier and to continue the ideals of
generosity and compassion that had guided his
life.
