RATIONALE
• This study aims to provide a useful
contribution on the prevention of possible
COVID-19 Outbreaks through early
detection by quantification of factors that
contribute to the increasing risk brought by
the pandemic.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
• Promote people awareness of possible COVID-19
hotspots through digital geographic representation
• Assist in informing local government units on their city
or municipality COVID-19 frequency level
• Provide real-time data on Covid-19 movement within
cities or municipalities for a possible outbreak prevention
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
1. Identify factors that contribute to identify a COVID Hotspot through gathering data from:
a. Number of cases that have occurred
b. Death and survival rate of Covid-19 cases
c. Geographic main roads for market, businesses, hospitals, and public transportation
services
2. Analyze the identified factors to produce mathematical solutions to assess what factors
must be adjusted to prevent outbreaks through Geographical Mapping Application and
appropriate Statistical Methods
3. Design a system that would enable LGUs (Local Government Units) to track COVID-19
movement within the barangay level to decrease risk of outbreak through GIS, Spatial
Analyzation and Statistical Methods.
