John 15:1-7

I Am the True Vine

John 8:58

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I

say to you, before Abraham was, I
am”.
John 15:1-7

1 I am the true vine, and my father is

the vinedresser.
2 Every branch of mine that does not
bear fruit he takes away, and ever
branch that does bear fruit he prunes,
that it may bear more fruit.
John 15:1-7

3 Already you are clean because of the

word that I have spoken to you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the
branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless
it abides in the vine, neither can you,
unless you abide in me.
John 15:1-7

5 I am the vine; you are the branches.

Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it
is that bears much fruit, for apart from
me you can do nothing.
John 15:1-7

6 If anyone does not abide in me he is

thrown away like a branch and withers;
and the branches are gathered, thrown
into the fire, and burned.
John 15:1-7

7 If you abide in me, and my words abide

in you, ask whatever you wish, and it
will be done for you.
John 15:1-7
I Am the True Vine
What is the value of being
connected to Jesus?
John 15:5

I am the vine; you are the branches.

Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it
is that bears much fruit, for apart from
me you can do nothing.

We will be fruitful.
Galatians 5:19-20

Now the works of the flesh are evident:

sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,
idolatry, sorcery, envy, drunkenness,
orgies, and things like these. I warn you,
as I warned you before, that those who
do such things will not inherit the
kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love,

joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness
and self control.
Hebrews 12:11-13

11When we are punished, it seems to us

at the time something to make us sad,
not glad. Later, however, those who
have been disciplined by such
punishment reap the peaceful reward of
a righteous life.
Hebrews 12:11-13

12Liftup your tired hands, then, and

strengthen your trembling knees! 13Keep
walking on straight paths, so that the
lame foot may not be disabled, but
instead be healed
James 1:2-4

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when

you meet trials of various kinds, 3for you
know that the testing of your faith
produces steadfastness. 4And let
steadfastness have it’s full effect, that
you may be perfect and complete,
lacking in nothing.
John 15:1-2

1 I am the true vine, and my father is

the vinedresser.
2 Every branch of mine that does not
bear fruit he takes away, and ever
branch that does bear fruit he prunes,
that it may bear more fruit.
John 15:26

But when the Helper comes, whom I

will send to you from the Father, the
Spirit of truth, who proceeds from
the Father, he will bear witness
about me.
