Visuals

Keep it simple. Your slides
should complement your
verbal message, not detract
from it by unnecessary visual
clutter.
Limit bullet points and
text on each slide. Don’t
add too much too fast.
Use high-quality
graphics so audience
can see what it is.
Figure out when to
present information
using a table, chart, or
other graphics.
Choose your fonts so
that they are easily
read.
Figure out when to
show images or video
for maximum impact
Make sure your font
size is reasonable.
Limit the length of your
powerpoint. People lost
interest if they are too
long.
Make sure visual is relevant to
the point you are trying to
make.
The important parts of
your powerpoint should
be accentuated by use
of effects such as bright
color (that’s easily
visible).
