Malunggay (Moringa
Oleifera)” as Tea

Moringa are very rich source of
vitamins, minerals and
phytochemicals. The leaf extracts
of Moringa plant is mainly used
for the treatment of malnutrition.
It is also used to expand the
quantity of breast milks in the
lactating mothers.
It is a good source as an
anticancer, antioxidant,
antimicrobial and antidiabetic
agent. It is also used in the
purification of drinking water
and water treatment.
Moringa are very rich source of phytosterols. These
phytosterols enhance the enzyme activities which are
helpful for the reproductive growth.

Due to these specifications of this tree, this is also


known as “Miracle Tree”.
This study aims to support the less privileged
families and other people who are not wealthy in
their everyday life by utilizing the properties found in
“Moringa Oliefera Lam” locally know as
“malunggay” as a healthy, cheap and effective Tea.
This study entitled “The Feasibility of Malunggay
(Moringa Oleifera)” as Tea will benefit the following:

• Person who is malnourish. It

especially among infants and
nursing mothers vitamins
A, B and C, calcium, iron
and protein.
• Person who is afraid to have
cancer. Moringa contains benzyl
isothiocyanate. There are many
studies that have shown this
chemical and compounds
derive thereof to have anti-
cancer and chemoprotective
capabilities.

Dry the malunggay

FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
 The malunggay leaves are great key metabolites
of the body that they wash up and cleanse our
stomach for us to be healthy

 In the conduct of the process, the malunggay


leaves smells like a grass from the farm or the hay

 That the leaves if air dried is not suitable for milling


because it takes days for it to dry like a crushed
bone.
 The researcher also found out that the pulverized
malunggay will not immediately dissolve in hot
water.

 Also, the malunggay have different nutrients and


advantages in our body.
