INDIVIDUAL
REFLECTION
How do you think his travel in this part of the world
contributed to his knowledge and principles, and shaped
him into becoming the hero that he was?
Dr. Jose Rizal's visit to London was noteworthy for his
first piece in the newspaper La Solidaridad entitled Los
Agricultores Filipinos, which depicted the challenges and
hindrances Filipinos experienced at the time, whether they were
natural disasters or man-made ones. These include his advice to
the Asociacion La Solidaridad for a clean and seamless execution
of depicting reality during the Spanish Colonial Period for
Periodical is just for truth and honesty.

As a result of his time in London, he became

unidentifiable while giving knowledge and realism to every
Filipino who deserved it.

How do you think his travel in
this part of the world contributed
to his knowledge and principles,
and shaped him into becoming the
hero that he was?
Jose Rizal's travels and adventures were an essential part of
his education and sophistication, as they exposed him to the culture
and politics of other countries. Jose Rizal's travel narrative is a part
of his struggle to create a change in his native land.

As it turned out, Rizal's mission was to study the lives,

cultures, laws, and governments of European countries in order to
prepare for the Philippines' liberation from Spain's tyrannical rule.

How do you think his travel in
this part of the world contributed
to his knowledge and principles,
and shaped him into becoming
the hero that he was?
Through researching his life in London, I learned that
his thirst for knowledge knows no bounds. Wherever he
goes he pursue knowledge, education and connections.
As his journey goes, he was able to find talented people
to help him on his journey. Even though travelling, not
once he forgot or disregarded his fight with the
Spaniards.

How do you think his travel in
this part of the world contributed
to his knowledge and principles,
and shaped him into becoming the
hero that he was?
He traveled London to improve his knowledge of the English
language and to study Morga's Sucesos de las Islas Filipinas which
made him correct Morga’s misconceptions about the Philippines and
the Filipinos. Rizal began to come up with the idea of a truly
national Filipino.
