billion users of the internet, and 3.8 million of this group is on social perspective,
media.The same report estimates that because of the movement Condition,

spending an average of 100 days for each year surfing the internet.

In the Philippines, where the anticovid vaccine program is realtively National


slower compared to more advance countries, it can be predicted tha t scenario
face-to-face classes will not be viable within 2021 and the next best (the whole
option is for classes to be held virtually through online platform. country)
LASC Academy is a private learning institution in Northern Luzon
that conducts 80% of the classes through Google Meet, the Zoom, and The context
the Webex. Alternative Communication mode between students and in the locale
their teachers is the use of the Facebook and the messenger for (or where

internet acronyms, and abbreviations. The researcher seeks to discover if objective in
the senior high school students at the LASC Academy are familiar with conducting
the use of internet lingo and to find out if they are utilizing these terms the research
not only in their social media activities but also in their academic
endeavors.
