Rationale for Energy monitoring
Petrom stakeholders see a clear need for transparency
in energy consumption

Petrom stakeholders see clear deficits… … that the new approach shall mitigate

Where are we relative to the budget?

 Single integrated consumers
database so they can be properly
managed and monitored
Consequence management  Consumption distribution per cost
“We need a system to collect and consolidate
energy consumption ” center so that you control your
budgets
 Single version of the truth: so that
Transparency
“Here are our consumers?” you know where the money are spent

The scope of the project is to improve the managerial and technical

transparency over the energy consumption by
1. identifying all individual consumers,
2. monitoring infrastructure both visual/graphical and statistical
3. allocating consumption per cost center, and
4. calculating the energy network performance (CPT)

Activities performed to date
 Analyze the first scope declaration:
 Impact: there is no link between wired network quality
monitoring and financials
 Feasibility: the scope is feasible for A6, duration 3-5 months
from order date
 Investigate internal existing projects to date
 Wired network status: monitored from technical and quality
perspective
 Monitoring devices: ~90% in place
 Monitored parameters: technical parameters (Active/Reactive
Power, balancing, etc.)
 GAP analysis
 Existing software:
 ECRO – technical data
 Fanica – reporting, procedures, organizational structure
and cost centers
 NO consumers database
