Capture of Personal and Medical details taken directly from current Appraisal Forms.

advance of their appraisal.

e-Portfolio of Work Undertaken
An e-Portfolio where Doctors can add evidence and information from their office or home
that will help to inform their appraisal discussion.

Doctors can assign a variety of evidence to one or more areas relating to Good Medical
Practice, as seen in current appraisal documentation.
Once the due date has expired the Doctor’s portfolio is “Locked” and that Doctor can open a
new appraisal portfolio if required.

The Appraisal
The ability for an Appraiser to log on and perform the appraisal discussion online once
the Doctor has signed off the portfolio and the appraisal due date has arrived.

Appraisers can view Forms 1- 3 and provide the necessary Commentary and Actions
required for a Doctors continued development.
Doctors can clearly and quickly review evidence that relates to each section of Good
Medical Practice and can open a new appraisal with a due date for next year.

The Appraisal
Personal Development Plan (PDP)
The ability for Doctors to highlight and record improvement areas based on the appraisal discussion and
note goal attainment.

Doctors can see what their goals and target dates were for that appraisal period and can discuss whether
they have been achieved with their appraiser.
The system keeps a record of the PDP objectives, comments, achievement dates for each year, which is
visible in the PDP section.

The Responsible Officer
A Responsible Officer job role within the e-Portfolio, which receives messages when an
appraisal has taken place and has been signed off.

View all the Doctors which are under their responsibility and have the user rights to view as
appropriate.
View a report on how many appraisals have taken place and how many are pending.
