1. PERCEPTUAL ORGANIZATION

• The process which the


elements of visual and
other sensory information
are structured into a
coherent whole.
2. COCKTAIL PARTY PROBLEM
• Is a psychoacoustic phenomenon that
refers to the remarkable human ability
to selectively attend to and recognize
one source of auditory input in a noisy
environment, where the hearing
interference is produced by competing
speech sounds or a variety of noises
that are often assumed to be
independent of each other.
3. PERCEPTION

• The act or faculty of perceiving, or


apprehending by means of the
senses or of the mind; cognition;
understanding.
4. TONE

• Vocal sound; the sound made by


vibrating muscular bands in the
larynx.
5. SENSITIVITY

• The ability of an organism or part


of an organism to react to stimuli;
irritability.
6. PRECOCIOUS

• Unusually advanced or mature in


development, especially mental
development.
7. ACOUSTICS ELEMENTS

• Any of the acoustic components or


elements present in a speech
sound and capable of being
experimentally observed, recorded,
and reproduced.
8. VOCALIZATION

• Any sound produced through the


action of an animal’s respiratory
system and used in
communication.
9. SPEECH PERCEPTION

• Speech perception is the process by


which the sounds of language are
heard, interpreted, and understood. 
10.COHERENCE

• The quality or state of cohering:


such as a systematic or logical
connection or consistency.
11. SENSORY

• It is relating to sensation or the


physical senses; transmitted or
perceived by the senses.
12.RESONANSE
• A vibration of large amplitude in a
mechanical or electrical system caused
by a relatively small periodic stimulus
of the same or nearly the same period
as the natural vibration period of the
system.
13.HARMONIC EXCITATION

• Harmonic excitation refers to a


sinusoidal external force of a certain
frequency applied to a system.
14.UTTERANCE

• Is the smallest unit of speech. It is


a continuous piece of speech
beginning and ending with a clear
pause.
15.SPEECH SPECTRUM

• The average sound spectrum for


the human voice.
