2 WHAT IS TELTONIKA AND ITS USE.

 It is device which we can use it as Wi-Fi router as well as VPN router based on our requirement.
 By using these modules we can access the PLC or other devices remotely. (i.e. upload,
download, monitoring in online.)
BASIC CONFIGURATION

 Initially the device has its default


IP:192.168.1.1, to change the LAN IP and
more setting we have type the default IP in
chrome.
 The Login page will display as shown in
attached picture
 Then we have enter the default user name
and password
 User name: admin
 Password: Admin01
 Then click on login to change the LAN IP,
password and to enable more settings.

BASIC CONFIGURATION

 Change password and user name if


required.
 Change the LAN IP its segment should be
similar to the device which you are
communicate through router’s LAN port.
(i.e. Router LAN IP: 192.168.0.10
PLC IP: 192.168.0.40).

ADDING A DEVICE
 Enter RMS teltonika in Google search
engine.
 Create RMS LOGIN to check the router
status ,Client devices connected to the
router and to establish VPN connection.
 Then we have to create the device
configuration. Click on devices and select
add new devices.
 Enter the name of your device, serial
number and LAN mac ID.

VPN HUB CONFIGURATION
 Next step is to create VPN hub and
configure the added device to the create
VPN connection.
 Click on RMS VPN which is located on the
below right side, then click on add new hub
and enter the user name which you have
created for RMS login then click on create.
 After creation click on that VPN hub and
go to client option. Here we have to add the
user and the device which is added to user.
 By clicking on add client we can add the
user and its devices.

VPN CONFIGURATION
 Go to Routes option it will show you the
user and device which you added in clients.
 Click the LAN forwarding button if the
device is connected to the router through
LAN port.
 Click on add route and select the auto scan
it will shows all devices which are
connected to the router through LAN port.
 If the device is not shown in auto scan.
Choose manual and enter the IP address of
the device and select the user.
 Here I have used another laptop for testing.
VPN CONFIGURATION
 After configuring the device in router click
on restart hub and go to client.
 Click on download option which is shown
in user.
 Upload the downloaded file to the
OPENVPN CONNECT software.

VPN CONFIGURATION
 Click on the downloaded file, it will run the
software if it is installed in your pc.
 Ping the PLC IP.
 Now we can Upload , download and
monitor the program remotely.

COMPACT LOGIX – REQUIRED SETTINGS
 Verify the PLC IP address’s segment
should be same as router’s LAN port IP
address.(i.e. PLC IP: 192.168.0.50
Router’s LAN IP: 192.168.0.10 )
 Subnet mask should identical.
 PLC gateway IP should be router’s LAN
port IP.
 PLC IP : 192.168.0.50
SUBNET : 255.255.255.0
PLC gateway IP : 192.168.0.1

Start  Rockwell Software RSLinx Classic
Select Configure Drivers Icon

 Need to Create new driver for each PLC.

 Client Device IP address will be available
in Remote Management System VPN

 If PLC is Connected – Remote
Upload/Download/Modifications can be
carried out via Rslogix500 Software
