The National Library of the Philippines

 The National Library of the Philippines (NLP) is the repository of the printed and recorded
cultural heritage of the country and other intellectual, literary and information sources.
National Historical Commission of the
Philippines
 The National Historical Commission of the Philippines, as an arm in the culture and
development agenda of the government, envisions a Filipino society with citizens informed
of their history, who love their country and are proud of their cultural heritage.
National Museum of the Philippines

 The National Museum, a trust of the Government, is an educational, scientific and cultural
institution that acquires, documents, preserves, exhibits, and fosters scholarly study and
public appreciation of works of art, specimens, and cultural and historical artifacts
representative of our unique to the cultural heritage of the Filipino people and the natural
history of the Philippines.
U.P Main Library

 The main Library, which is the seat of library administration, is situated at Gonzalez Hall
in the middle of the Academic Oval.
ADMU Rizal Library

 The Rizal Library is the main university library of the Ateneo de Manila University. It is
named after Ateneo de Manila alumnus Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines
DLSU Library

 De La Salle University (Filipino: Pamantasang De La Salle, Unibersidad ng De La Salle),


also known simply as La Salle and abbreviated as DLSU, is a private, catholic research
university run by the De La Salle Brothers located in Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila,
Philippines.
UST Library

 The Miguel de Benavides Library, is the Central University Library of the University of
Santo Tomas. The library has been in continuous service and even antedates the existence
of the university itself. Even wars did not interrupt this service and it has adapted over
time.
Library of Congress

 The Library of Congress (LC) is the research library that officially serves the United States
Congress and is the de facto national library of the United States. It is the oldest federal
cultural institution in the United States.
National Archives and Records Administration

 (NARA) is an independent agency of the united states government charged with the
preservation and documentation of government and historical records.
Archivo General de Indias

 The Archivo General de indias (AGI) is a massive collection of official documents


produced by the Spanish government for the administration of Spain’s overseas territories.
Archivo General de la Nacion

 The General Archive of the Nation is a Colombian government agency ascribed to the
Colombian Ministry of culture charged with “conserving legacy, as will recovering and
Circulating the documentary heritage of the country”. It is the head of the National system
of archives.
American Historical Collection

 The American Historical Collection (AHC), established in 1950, is an archive of American


involvement in the Philippines. The AHC is one of the largest, most diverse and most
complete collection of materials of this kind in the world boasting some 13,518 books,
18,674 photographs, and other various materials.
Lopez Memorial Museum

 The Lopez Museum is a Philippine art and history museum and library located in Pasig,
Philippines at the ground floor of the Benpres Building, Exchange Road corner Meralco
Avenue, Ortigas Center.
Ayala Museum

 The Ayala Museum is a museum in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is located in


Ayala Center adjacent to Greenbelt mall and is run privately by the Ayala Foundation.
Human Fossils

 The following tables give an overview of notable finds of hominin fossils and remains
relating to human evolution, beginning with the formation of the tribe Hominini (the
divergence of the human and chimpanzee lineages) in the late Miocene, roughly 7 to 8
million years ago.
Artifacts

 A cultural artifact, or cultural artefact, is a term used in the social sciences, particularly
anthropology, ethnology and sociology for anything created by humans which gives
information about the culture of its creator and users.
