• Continue the process of facilitating skill development

• Demonstrate skill(if necessary) .

• Observe learner’s performance.

• Provide feedback.

• Check them periodically to make sure everything is running smoothly.

• Always maintain positive learning environment .

Giving Feedback Clinical Practice

• Feedback before practice should be given before entering the room .

• Feed back after practice can be delayed until completed (not the end
of the day).

• Allow the learner to apply the feedback with next client.

• Some feedback can be given during the procedure it self (if needed).

Structure of feedback

1st : the learner should identify personal strength and area where
improvement is needed.
2nd: the trainer provide specific feedback that includes suggestion
what and how to improve .
• Finally: the learner and trainer should agree on the focus of
training.

Protect Patient’s Rights
• Inform the patient of the role of each person involved.

• Obtain the patient’s permission before having perform any


procedures.

• Respect the right to bodily privacy.

• Strictly observe the confidentiality.

• Understanding the right to refuse care.

• Safe practice, quality service and clean facility.

• Meet with the students at the end of the session(every day).

• Review the learning objectives and assess students’ progress toward meeting
them.

• Present cases seen that day, particularly those that were interesting, unusual,
or difficult.

• Provide an opportunity for students to ask questions.

• Ask students questions about cases or their care plans.

4.Monitor Students’ Progress
• Monitor students’ that the session is providing adequate and appropriate
learning activities.

• N.B. Monitoring refers to following students’ activities, not assessing their


competency.

• Logbooks

• Student performance reports.

• Field notebooks (often used during community or home visits).
