BARRIERS OF

COMMUNICATION

• Physical barriers are easy to spot
• Doors are closed, walls that are created, and distance
between people all work against the goal of effective
communication.

PHYSICAL BARRIERS
• Can be tough to overcome, but are important to set aside
to engage in conversation.
• “ Anything you say can and will be used against you”.
• Overcoming this fear is difficult but necessary.
• The trick is to have full confidence in what you are
saying.

EMOTIONAL BARRIERS
• Language is also a big hurdle in way of effective
communication.
• For example:
Someone whom you want to talk is Punjabi, he don’t
know URDU then It will be a big hurdle which can be
overcome if you know Punjabi.

LANGUAGE BARRIERS
• Gender barriers have become less of an issue, but there is
still chances for a man to misunderstand a women or vice
versa.

GENDER BARRIERS
• Noise is also a big barriers in the way of communication.
• For example
You are talking to someone but in background there is a
lot of noise so you cannot be able to understand the saying
of other person.
