The Idaho Core Teacher Standards are the 10 basic
standards teachers need to abide by. The standards are
placed in four general categories: The Learner, Content,
What are the Instructional Practice, and Professional Responsibility.

Idaho Core The Idaho Core Teacher Standards must be applied to all
areas of teacher certification. The Idaho Core Teacher
Teacher Standards were last revised in the spring of 2012 to align
with national standards as guided by the Interstate

Standards Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC)

Standards.

Every year the Professional Standards Commission

reviews and revises 20% of the standards to ensure the
most up to date policies are in effect.
