Imperial Tobacco Company of India Limited was
incorporated on August 24, 1910
Rechristened several times..
India Tobacco Company Limited in 1970
I.T.C. Limited in 1974.
ITC Limited in September 18, 2001

First 60yrs devoted to Cigarettes and Leaf Tobacco businesses
In 1925- Packaging & Printing Business
1975 - launched Hotels business
*to earn high levels of foreign exchange,

In 1985- ITC set up Surya Tobacco Co. in Nepal as an Indo-Nepal
