OBJECTIVES

1. To determine the diversity of epiphytic diatoms on Seagrass

Blades in Merambong Shoal,Johor.
2. To analyse the associations between epiphytic diatoms and
seagrasses

SIGNIFICANT STUDY
 Baseline data on the study area and contribute knowledge
for future reference.
 SCOPE OF STUDY

 Study area at Merambong Shoal

 Monthly sampling (April-August) 3 times sampling
 Seagrass bed expose during low tide
 Collection of seagrasses blades will be done within
100m transect using 1m×1m quadrant.
 Laboratory processing of seagrass blades for
identification of diatoms.
