What does a galaxies means

A galaxy is a huge collection of gas , dust, and billion of stars and their
solar system, all held together by gravity. We live on a planet called
earth
That is a part of our solar systems. A galaxy is held together by gravity.
TYPES OF GALAXIES

SPIRAL EXAMPLE:
ANDROMEDA & THE MILKY WAY

ELLIPTICAL EXAMPLE:
URSA MAJOR AND MESSIER 87

IRREGULAR EXAMPLE:
SMALL MAGELLANIC & LARGE
MAGGELANIC CLOUD
THE MILKY WAY

.THE MILKY WAY IS A MEDIUM LARGE SPIRAL GALAXY

.OUR SOLAR SYSTEM IS LOCATED AT THE EDGE OF

ONE OF THE SPIRAL ARMS OF THE MILKY WAY.

.THE MILKY WAY CONSITS OF APPROXIMATELY

200BILLION STARS AND THE SUN IS ONE OF IT

how do the formation and death of stars
happen

• Most stars take millions of years to die. When a star like the Sun
has burned all of its hydrogen fuel, it expands to become a red
giant. After puffing off its outer layers, the star collapses to
form a very dense white dwarf.
How do stars in the space differ from each
other

• Though stars may look like similar points of light from our

perspective on Earth, they actually differ from each other in
many ways. Stars vary in their mass, size, temperature, color,
luminosity, and age. ... The more massive a star is, the hotter it
burns, the faster it uses up its fuel, and the shorter its life is.
