EXAMPLES
OF A
CONSTRUCTIVE
FEEDBACK
1. John is your student for 5 months now and for the
first 4 months he is active in your class. Lately, he seems
disengaged and not motivated to his studies.
A response can be:

• “I have noticed that you don’t seem as motivated to do

studies as you usually do, and it makes me feel like I am
doing something wrong. If there are reasons as to why
you are feeling this way, I would love to talk with you
about it. I think if we meet up once a week to check up
on everything, you could be much happier.”
2. Michelle has been constantly showing up late for class.

A response can be:

• “When you show up late to our class every day, I feel

disrespected because it feels like you are not interested
in our class. The class hours is from 10-11 am. What you
are doing right now would cause a negative impact on
your grade. From now on, I really need you to arrive to
our class on time and change your behavior.”
