CAREER GUIDANCE

ADVOCACY PROGRAM
Rationale
Republic Act No. 11206 otherwise known as the
Secondary Career Guidance and Counseling Act of
2019 aims to :
a) to institutionalize a career guidance and
counseling program for students in all public and
private secondary schools nationwide in order to
provide them proper direction in pursuing subsequent
tertiary education;
b) to equip our students with the capability to
make educated career decisions and
expose them to relevant labor markets;
and (c) to ensure graduates of tertiary
education meet the requirements of the
government, industry, and the economy.
 Dissemination of Career
Guidance Module from
Grade 7-12.
Distribution of Module

Modules were not completely distributed.

Students was not able to compile their output for their Portfolio.
For Grade 10 Students

During early enrollment students find difficulty to choose their track and strand for Senior High
School. Most of their choices are influenced from peers or parents.
For Grade 12 Students

Inadequate knowledge and understanding of Senior High School Curriculum exits.


Career Guidance Module
*To continue the module distribution.
*To check Career Modules and to constantly
remind students to answer their modules properly.
*For teachers, to COMPILE students output for
PORTFOLIO. (career assessments)
• In checking students output, the advisers may utilize this verbal descriptions.
For Grades 10-12
• To finalize the conduct of Orientation for Grade 10 Learners
and Parents on Senior High School Track and Strand and for Grade
12 Learners on Curriculum Exits on (May) at Lawa National High
School Gymnasium.
• For Grade 10 learners, to look for assessment tool that will serve as their
basis in choosing their track and strand for Senior High School to avoid
track/strand mismatch.
• For Grade 12,to intensify their support on the incoming orientation for them to
gain sufficient knowledge that will enable them to make successful transition
from school to the world of tertiary education, of work, and from job to job
across the life span.
• Soon to continue the career advocacy activities.

Current:
Work Immersion
• TVL track learners will be prioritized to undergo
Work Immersion to simulate employment, to
apply their competencies and to experience
authentic work environments. (D0 N0.91, s. 2020-
Guidelines for Work Immersion Implementation)
*Intensified Modular Digital campaign
instead of Modular Print.
*Conducted parent-teacher consultation/
orientation, addressing some problems met
during distribution and retrieval of modules.
* Identified SARDO students and some of
the teachers conducted home visitation.
*95% of the parents already signed their student’s
report cards.
*Most of the projects implemented in the SHS
classrooms are parents' donation.
*Started the beautification inside/ outside
classroom.
*Some of the classroom projects are achieved and
are now functional.
*For ICT, 95% of the students achieved
their hands-on session.
* Conducted orientation for Work
Immersion for AFA and HE students.
Common Problem

*Lost modules
* Unnamed answer sheets and performance tasks
*Still, some students are not motivated to answer their modules resulting to delay submission and low academic performance.

Intervention

* Constant communication and follow-up of parents and students.


* Reminding the parents to always assist their students in answering the modules.
* As sanction, the parents will be one who will return the modules to the subject teacher for delay submission.
• To finalize the of orientation for Grade 12 Learners on
Curriculum Exits on (May) at Lawa National High School
Gymnasium.
• For Grade 12,to intensify their support on the incoming orientation for them to
gain sufficient knowledge that will enable them to make successful transition
from school to the world of tertiary education, of work, and from job to job
across the life span.
• To conduct research defense in both quantitative and qualitative researches
via zoom platform.
• To implement/ continue and sustain the beautification inside
and outside classrooms.
• To conduct virtual graduation.
