as a witness of what you
have seen
Get up now, and stand on your feet. I
have appeared to you for this purpose,
to appoint you as a servant and witness
of what you have seen [of me] and what
you will be shown.

Face
Session 1 : From Darkness
to Light
Objective: This session leads the
participants to be in touch with
their personal concerns, including
the difficulties that they are
currently facing, and to see how our
Lord is guiding them in their
journey from darkness to light
Opening Prayer The emcee sets the quiet
atmosphere to prepare the participants for the

Opening Prayer.

(He/She (or the prayer leader) gives a short

orientation on the flow of the prayer. Participants
are asked to be ready with their own Bibles.
Readers, assigned prior to the session, will be
reminded to be ready for their assigned tasks. As
the opening song is played, the participants are
invited to join in singing or listening to it, and ponder
on the lyrics of the song, while keeping their
microphones on mute)
Opening Song: Open the Eyes of My
Heart

Reading: Word of God: Acts 26:12-18

Silence: A period of silence (around 2

minutes) follows the reading of the
Scripture text, where the Word of God
that was proclaimed can speak quietly in
the hearts of the listeners.
Input/Topic: We highly
encourage that the one
who will give the input
must stick with the key
points.
Testimonies: (Suggestion) To
minimize the work and
resources, it can be that the
one who will give the input shall
be the one to also testify.
You will look for at least 1 or 2 sharers who can
relate to the topic, Darkness to Light.

Someone who had fell to the ground, or had been

into a very dark situation but was able to rise up
above.

You may check the guide below:

 “Falling to the ground”: Describe your concrete life
situation where, like St. Paul, you came to a point
where you “fell to the ground”, i.e. a difficult/ dark
situation such as living in a sinful state, facing a
huge failure, surrendering to an addiction, etc.
 “Hearing Jesus”: How did you encounter
Jesus in that situation?

 How did you see or recognize Him? What was

His message to you amidst the situation?

 “Standing up - from darkness to light”: How

did you see the light of Christ as you went
through your ordeal? What has changed in
your life since then? What is your most
significant learning from this?
