FIRE ALARM AND COMMUNICATION

SYSTEM
FIRE ALARM

 In this section, the definitions of alarms ranging from


the alarm to a declared fire disaster, are not meant to
be rigid sequence of an incident. It is not intended
that every type of fire emergency must progress
through each of the lesser alarms first. It might be
evident from the beginning of an emergency that its
scope will require the total commitment from the BFP
and other non-gov’t organization (NGO) resources
together to mitigate its impact.
FIRE DISTRICT UNITS

 FD I (LEOPARD) – Manila Fire District


 FD II (TIGER) – CAMANAVA
 FD III (PANTHER) – MARIKINA, LAS PINAS, PASAY,
PARANAQUE, MUNTINLUPA
 FD IV (JAGUAR)– MARIKINA, PASIG, PATEROS,
TAGUIG, MANDALUYONG, SAN JUAN
 FD V (COUGAR)– Quezon City Fire District
FIRE VERIFICATION

 Upon receiving a call. 1 fire engine is dispatch to verify


the call.
1ST ALARM

 Day-to-day emergency fire incidents requiring the normal


predetermined dispatch of apparatus. (Fire call verification)
 Shift in charge is the highest ranking fire officer on scene
(FGC).
 Number of Fire Apparatus on Scene must be 4.
 City/Municipal Operation Chief shall be notified, request for
additional fire engine from the adjacent fire station/ fire- sub
station, city/municipal stations and cover-up (as per existing
SOP’s).
 Incident requires only minimal command organizational
support.
2nd ALARM

 An expansion of first alarm capabilities as deemed necessary by the


Fire Ground Commander.
 Incident command may be transferred to the City/Municipal Operation
Chief / Commander or highest ranking fire officer on scene.
 Additional 4 Fire Apparatus from the nearest Fire scene must be
dispatched.
 City/Municipal Fire Marshal shall be notified, request for additional
fire engine from the adjacent fire station/ fire- sub station,
city/municipal stations and cover-up (as per existing SOP’s).
 Formal implementation of Incident Command Organizational support
should be initiated.
3RD ALARM

 An expansion of second alarm capabilities as deemed necessary


by the Incident Commander /Fire Ground Commander.
 Incident command may be transferred to the City/Municipal Fire
Marshal / Commander or highest ranking fire officer on scene.
 Additional 4 Fire Apparatus from the nearest Fire scene must be
dispatched.
 Provincial/District Operation Chief shall be notified, request for
additional fire engine from the adjacent fire station/ fire- sub
station, city/municipal stations and cover-up (as per existing
SOP’s).
4TH ALARM

 An expansion of third alarm capabilities as deemed necessary


by the Incident Commander/Fire Ground Commander.
 Incident command is transferred to Provincial/District
Operation Chief or his designee.
 Additional 4 Fire Apparatus from the nearest Fire scene must
be dispatched.
 Provincial/District Fire Marshal shall be notified, request for
additional fire engine from the adjacent fire station/ fire- sub
station, city/municipal stations and cover-up (as per existing
SOP’s)
5TH ALARM
 An expansion of Fourth alarm capabilities as deemed necessary by the
Incident Commander/Fire Ground Commander.
 Incident command is transferred to Provincial/District Fire Marshal or his
designee.
 Additional 4 Fire Apparatus from the nearest Fire scene must be dispatched.
 Regional Operation Chief shall be notified, request for additional fire engine
from the adjacent fire station/ fire- sub station, city/municipal stations and
cover-up (as per existing SOP’s).
 The department becomes one element in the total response for the public
and private commitment to the incident.
 Command Organizational support is established by activation of EOC , as
declared by the City Mayor or his/her designee.
TASK FORCE ALPHA
 An expansion of Fifth alarm capabilities as deemed necessary by the Incident
Commander/Fire Ground Commander.
 Incident command is transferred to Regional Operation Chief or his designee.
 Additional 4 Fire Apparatus from the nearest Fire scene must be dispatched.
 Assistant Regional Director for Operation shall be notified, request for
additional fire engine from the adjacent fire station/ fire- sub station,
city/municipal stations and cover-up (as per existing SOP’s).
 The BFP becomes one element in the total response for the public and private
commitment to the incident.
 Usually a condition where the Fire emergency or potential emergency
threatens to be of disastrous proportion that may require the assistance and/or
coordination of all cities/ municipality and other city agencies, mutual aid and
private enterprise.
TASK FORCE BRAVO

 An expansion of Task Force Alpha capabilities as deemed


necessary by the Incident Commander/Fire Ground Commander.
 Incident command is transferred to Assistant Regional Director
for Operation or his designee.
 Additional 4 Fire Apparatus from the nearest Fire scene must be
dispatched.
 Regional Director shall be notified, request for additional fire
engine from the adjacent fire station/ fire- sub station,
city/municipal stations and cover-up (as per existing SOP’s).
 Supply Officer must be on scene
TASK FORCE CHARLIE

 An expansion of Task Force Bravo capabilities as deemed


necessary by the Incident Commander/Fire Ground
Commander.
 Incident command is transferred to Regional Director or his
designee.
 Additional 4 Fire Apparatus from the nearest Fire scene
must be dispatched.
 The Fire Chief shall be notified, request for additional fire
engine from the adjacent fire station/ fire- sub station,
city/municipal stations and cover-up (as per existing SOP’s).
TASK FORCE DELTA TO GENERAL ALARM

 An expansion of Task Force Charlie capabilities as


deemed necessary by the Incident Commander/Fire
Ground Commander.
 Full Command of the Incident shall be transferred to
the Highest Ranking officer of the BFP.
 All available Fire Apparatus from the nearest Fire
scene must be dispatched.
 The SILG shall be notified on the situation.
SCENARIO
 Incident command is transferred to the City/Municipal
Fire Marshal / Commander or highest ranking fire
officer on scene.
