Rules for Sharing Computer equipment

Remember that you are sharing computers with others , make sure the
equipment is tidy and its in the correct place once you have finished using
it . Here are the rules.
 Be patient and take turns when sharing equipment.
 Do not use the equipment for longer than you need to.
 Do not adjust equipment without permission.
 Tell your teacher when the equipment is broken or needs attention.
 Leave the equipment the way you found it.
 Keep your work area tidy . “do not eat or drink near your computer”

 Be polite: think about how you would receive an email or message,
talk to people online as though you are face to face.
 Report anything you see that is frightening or upsetting.
 Help others to report problems.
 Report any behavior that seem , dangerous.
 Avoid sharing personal information online.

The Parts
Of a Web Page

The following are the main web page components


 Heading: This is a short descriptions that tells you
what the website is about ,its larger than normal
text so that it stand out.
 Images: Most websites uses text and images ,
images makes website interesting and easier to
understand.
 Links: Are are used to go to the next page , they are
also called hyperlinks . They can be text or images.
 Logo : The logo tells you who own the website, i.e.
if owned by the company the company logo is used
at the top
 Menu: They help you find your way through
around the webpage . Clicking on the menu takes
you to another part of the website.
 Text: They are used on the webpage to give
information or instructions ,they should be clear
and relevant to the subject of the page.
Designing a Web Page
 Before you start to create a web page , make a plan.
 Draw a simple outline plan to show how the components will fit together.
 Start with drawing a rectangle to represent the computer screen.
 Then divide the rectangle into small parts to show where you will put the
images, test and so on.
