OUTLINE OF THE PLOT FOR YOUR ADVERT ONE AND TWO WITH AN

EXPLANATION OF HOW THE FEATURES OF THE ADVERTS MAKE AN

INTEGRATED CAMPAIGN (MINIMUM 100 WORDS)

• My first advert is going to be about a girl watching TV using the laptop,

texting, putting the toaster on and leaving it and putting the microwave
on. This is showing that the shock of how much electric appliances the
girls is wasting. Therefore there will be a voice over after saying ‘Save the
world’s resources or be left in the dark’.
• My second advert is going to be about a girl putting the shower on and
leaving the shower and tap on. She pours water in the cup and leaves it.
When she goes outside the garden it rains which denotes wasting water
and she looks at her watch and she has a shock face this is because she
remembers that she has wasted a lot of water such as leaving the shower
on. The slogan is going to be ‘Save the worlds resources or be left in the
dark’.
EXPLANATION OF HOW THIS WILL MEET THE DEMANDS OF THE
BRIEF (MINIMUM 70 WORDS) – YOU MUST REFER TO THE
BRIEF WHEN DOING THIS.
• My advert will meet the brief as I will have my target audience 15-19 years old and
there will be a website advising teenagers to waste energy. Both of my adverts are
public service adverts also they both have the same meaning as its about saving
energy. My advert will be clear and understandable for people to understand as it
will be short and catchy also it will influence people to save energy as this also will
meet the brief as it needs to be short clear.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE USE OF THE RESEARCH YOU HAVE
COMPLETED ON YOUR AUDIENCE AND THE SUBJECT OF
CLIMATE CHANGE? (MINIMUM 50 WORDS)
• I will make use of the research that I have completed on my audience by using
images for example a switch and have sounds which would make a good link with
my advert. I will have a fact about wasting energy for example Switch off
appliances when not in use to save £30 per year. Leaving unused appliances on
standby (which means they’re still using energy) costs around £800 million a year
in the UK. I would use this in my campaign do advise people not to leave there
appliance on and inform them the disadvantages and how to overcome the
problem.
WHAT IS THE KEY MESSAGE/ LINE OF APPEAL? (MINIMUM 50
WORDS)

• The key message is to save energy and by saving energy it will be useful
for the environment and it will help make a better planet. What will make
the advert appealing is that I will have funny sounds on the advert and
animations. The line of appeal is shock.
OUTLINE OF THE NARRATIVE STRUCTURE (MINIMUM
50 WORDS)

• The narrative in my first advert is going to be a girl talking on her phone

and using a lot of electric appliances. The advert shows that too much
electricity is been used and it is giving the audience a message on how
they should reduce using too much electric appliances.

• The narrative in the second advert is going to be that a girl switching the
shower on and tap and pouring water into a cup. When she goes outside
the garden it rains and she looks at her watch because she realises that
she left the shower on.
IDENTIFY HOW YOUR ADVERT WILL USE OTHER CONVENTIONS
OF A PUBLIC SERVICE TELEVISION ADVERT (MINIMUM 70
WORDS)

• Both of my adverts will use conventions of a public service television

advert for example I will have a catchy slogan on both of my adverts I will
also have music on both of my adverts. I will have transitions on both of
my advert to make it eye-catching. I will also have images of a switch for
my make a change logo in my contact information page. In the end of my
advert I will have a message and a website to encourage the audience not
to waste energy. Overall these conventions will help me create my advert
as it will make it look like a PSA advert.
WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL YOU NEED AND HOW WILL IT BE
USED? (MINIMUM 50 WORDS) – THINK ABOUT THE ELEMENTS
OF PRODUCTION YOU HAVE COVERED WITH MISS SEVERN

• The equipment that I will need in order to create my advert is a tripod,

video camera. The tripod will be used to stand the camera and move it
around instead of holding the camera myself. I will use the video camera
to record my advert as it already has a microphone and it will be useful
instead of having boom mics and microphones. I will use the iMac and
iMovie.
