Adverbs are the words that tell us more about the verb.
They add information about the verb by answering questions such as- how the manner is done, when it is done and where it is done.

Adverb of manner tells us in what manner the

action is done. For example :
1) She sings well.
2) Dravid plays cricket magnificently.
3) Your writing is awful.

Adverb of place tells us where or at what place the

action takes place. For example :
1) The mother took the child outside.
2) My grandfather’s house is nearby.
3) The ship sailed northward.
