ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Artificial Intelligence is the ability to
design smart machines or to develop self-
learning software applications that imitate
the traits of the human mind like
reasoning, problem-solving, planning,
optimal decision making, sensory
perceptions etc. The capacity of artificial
intelligent approaches to outperform
human actions in terms of knowledge
discovery gained the attention of business
and research communities all over the
world, and this field of study witnessed
rapid progress in the past two decades.
Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture

• The industry is turning to

Artificial Intelligence
technologies to help yield
healthier crops, control pests,
monitor soil, and growing
conditions, organize data for
farmers, help with the
workload, and improve a wide
range of agriculture-related
tasks in the entire food
supply chain.
AI IN AGRICULTURE
• Use of weather forecasting: with help of Artificial Intelligence farmers can analyze weather conditions
by using weather forecasting which helps they plan the type of crop can be grown and when should
seeds be sown.
• Soil and crop health monitoring system: Trace Genomics is another machine learning-based company
that helps farmers to do a soil analysis to farmers. Such type of app helps farmers to monitor soil and
crop’s health conditions and produce healthy crops with a higher level of productivity.

• Analyzing crop health by drones: using

algorithms to analyze the captured images and
provide a detailed report containing the current
health of the farm. It helps the farmer to
identify pests and bacteria helping farmers to
timely use of pest control and other methods
to take required action.
• Precision Farming and Predictive Analytics:While using the machine learning algorithms in connection
with images captured by satellites and drones, AI-enabled technologies predict weather conditions,
analyze crop sustainability and evaluate farms for the presence of diseases or pests and poor plant
nutrition on farms with data like temperature, precipitation, wind speed, and solar radiation.
• Agricultural Robotics:  These types of robots are trained to check the quality of crops and detect weed
with picking and packing of crops at the same time.

• AI-enabled system to detect pests: AI systems

use satellite images and compare them with
historical data using AI algorithms and detect
that if any insect has landed and which type of
insect has landed like the locust, grasshopper,
etc. And send alerts to farmers to their
smartphones

• Abstract - This paper presents a model that will automate the process
of analyzing various deciding factors in the assessment of present and
future conditions for the better crop yield. The different classification
will help decide well in advance how to proceed to start a new session.
Besides, this would ensure minimal loss to the farmers, and the
different sections presented here elucidate the model further

• Proposed System—Sensors Driven Artificial

Intelligence (AI) - Based Agriculture
Recommendation Model

• A predictive platform for precision agriculture

was presented using IoT devices to improve
crop productivity at low-cost.
• Deep learning algorithms were used to
predict the diseases in plants which were
hidden in the images of the leaves, and they
were classified with maximum accuracy.
• The cloud-based IoT sensors are helpful in
this work to control the overall setup. This in
turn also saves the energy.

• AIM - This reviewfocuses on the use of recent technological advances in

remotesensing and AI to improve the resilience of agricultural systems, and we
will present a unique opportunity for the development ofprescriptive tools
needed to address the next decade’sagricultural and human nutrition
challenges.

• In the proposed model,
plants can serve as field-
based biological probes that
may be assessed by sensors
on-board UAS.
• UAS equipped with
appropriate sensors can
measure the time course of
plant growth accurately,
swiftly, and cost-effectively

• This research proposes a generic smart cloud-based system in order to
accommodate multiple scenarios where agriculture farms using Internet of Things
(IoTs) need to be monitored remotely. The real-time and stored data are analyzed
by specialists and farmers. The cloud acts as a central digital data store where
information is collected from diverse sources in huge volumes. Artificial Intelligence
(AI) based machine learning models such as Support Vector Machine (SVM). This
processed form of digital information is then used by the farmers to improve their
farming skills and to update them as pre-disaster recovery for smart agri-food.
