INTRODUCTION
At the beginning of eastern civilization a form of religion based on animist beliefs developed .the mountain sky seas , river and rocks were materialized spirits to be honoured .From the background a Chinese philosopher ,LAO TZO
,began to teach Taoism which taught people to themselves with the rhythms of life .
CONCEPT
The Taoist belief led Chinese to take much pleasure in the calming landscapes of their natural environment and eventually emulate these scene so they were closer to hand .
This was achieved through the creation of landscape paintings to view or by
creating imitation landscapes some of which were on a very large scale .

The most impressive feature of China is that it is endowed with a diverse natural landscape.
Eighty five percentage of China is markedly mountainous ,some of famous mountain etc.
HUA MOUNTAIN ,NORTH HENG MOUNTAIN ,SOUTH HENG MOUNTAIN .
these mountain frequently appear in Chinese landscape .
China was also traversed by three of world greatest river –THE YELLOW RIVER ,THE YANTSE RIVER ,AND THE WEST RIVER .

FEATURES OF GARDEN
Chinese gardens are constructed to recreate and miniaturize larger natural landscapes
. Traditionally, Chinese gardens blend unique, ornate buildings with natural elements.
Just about every Chinese garden contains architecture, like a building or pavilion;
decorative rocks and a rock garden; plants, trees and flowers; and water elements, like ponds.
Most Chinese gardens are enclosed by a wall and some have winding paths
