In history we have two types of sources:

1) Primary Sources

2) Secondary Sources

OPVL Technique
When historians analyse sources to get information they can
use the "OPVL" technique.

OPVL stands for: Origin, Purpose, Values and Limitations.

These are things a historian would evaluate about a historical


source of information.
