CO2 emissions from energy use by fuel type

(Transportation section)

• The transportation sector tends

to continuously increase CO2
emissions.
• The main fuels that cause CO2

emissions are gasoline, diesel,

LPG, fuel oil and jet fuel. Which
are 94 % of the total CO2
emissions in the transportation
sector.

Thailand has a CO2 emissions in 2019 at an average of 1.89 KtCO2/ 1 KTOE of energy use,
which is a relatively low rate compared to the average of Europe countries and Asian
countries.which are in the range of 2.02 - 3.05 KtCO2/ 1 KTOE of energy use.

Conclusion
• The government has promoted the use of renewable
energy, such as
– Use biofuels instead diesel and benzene.
– Use renewable energy in electricity generation.
• renewable energy is environmentally friendly and does
not cause air pollution.
