Introduction
Flood, flash flood, deluge, freshet, and
inundation are all terms used to describe the
overflowing of typically dry regions caused by
strong rainfall or thunderstorms. Floods are one
of the five (5) natural disasters that often hit in
Malaysia apart from landslides, forest fires, oil
spills and so on. Floods are critical and frequent
natural disasters that affect Malaysians. The
Malaysian floods 2021 are flood incidents that
have affected several states in Malaysia since
November 2020 until early 2021. The floods
caused more than 40,000 people to be evacuated
to evacuation centers. The floods also claimed
several lives, as well as causing almost all types
of land transport in the areas affected by the
floods to be disrupted.
